Daniel is a SAF Specialist at IATA, with a specific focus and background in the space of Biofuel SAFs. His current scope includes the tracking and analysis of global SAF ramp-up, as well as the identification of emerging SAF production pathways and feedstock. In particular, Daniel is passionate about identifying regionally salient 3rd generation, waste-based feedstock options, as a means of promoting the development of localized SAF industries in new markets. He also leads the implementation of IATA’s SAF Readiness Initiative, as a means of ensuring the necessary resources and capabilities are maintained and fostered across the breadth of IATA’s membership.
Previously, Daniel has had a range of government, airline, and independent experiences in the field of airline energy transition, having directly worked on SAF and restorative feedstock project incubation in Australia. This has also incorporated the associated stakeholder management and facilitation elements to these projects, with Daniel playing a connecting and synthesizing role among airlines, producers, and government bodies. Daniel has also previously worked in aviation network and partnership management functions for both Lufthansa and the State Government of Western Australia.

Joel Love is a BMP Outreach Education/Coordinator with the University of Florida/IFAS. Joel works under a contract arrangement between FDACS/Office of Ag Water Policy and UF/FAS to deliver BMP outreach, technical assistance, and cost share information to agricultural producers within the 13 counties of the Suwanee River Water Management District. He has served in this capacity since 2015 and work with FDACS since 1988, before coming into this position, providing administrative assistance to soil and water conservation districts, Farmer BMP Enrollment in FDACS Water Quality Manuals and cost share. Joel has long term experience working with row crop producers and their cropping systems in the Big Bend of North Florida. Joel has a B.S. degree in Agronomy from the University of Florida and lives with his wife Debbie in Monticello, Florida. Joel has 1 son/daughter in law and 2 daughters, one grandson and new grandchild on the way in April.

Christina was born and raised on the shores of the North Sea in Germany. She studied Biology and Agricultural Sciences at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel, Germany and received her Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the Georg-August-University in Göttingen, Germany in 2008. Shortly after finishing her Ph.D., she joined AAFC-SRDC as a NSERC Visiting postdoctoral fellow. For the following six years, Christina worked as camelina breeder for Linnaeus Plant Sciences (now Smart Earth Seeds) and developed varieties with improved agronomic and quality traits adapted to the Canadian Prairies. In spring of 2017, Christina joined AAFC-SRDC as a Research Scientist, developing varieties and germplasm of camelina and carinata as well as conducting genetic and genomics research.
